Oftentimes in organizations, there is a sense of division between the leadership and the rest of the company. We’ve seen this in many scenarios, and it becomes even more prominent when employees feel like leadership is not providing them with the information they are looking for.

Think of a scenario like this,  put yourself in the position of the person who said I've submitted all these questions to the leadership team, but you never hear the question I asked. The employee is now frustrated because they submitted a question to the leadership and from the perspective of the leadership, they are trying to best protect the interests of the company, right? We are not sure about this.

Both the employer and the employee have good intentions but because most of these suggestions and feedback come back in the form of surveys, they go unnoticed.  Thus leaving the employee feeling mistrust, fear, and stagnation.

In a way, this sort of adversarial relationship starts to get formed there because it's like, there's us and there's them. The employee feels undervalued and unseen. They think the leadership team is only protecting the company, and they don’t seem to care about the employees. 

However, when it comes down to it, the company leadership are just people. The leadership is not this entity that exists on its own. It's just a group of people and they're all trying to make the best decision they can make with the information they have at whatever time they're making it.
